Hey Cal
If you could put in about 14 more of these benches you could host the Nat'ls next year .  Looks REAL  good. We are all going to be jealous.

Hey that's a great idea,,what do you think Cal ?

Congratulations Cal   just think how you'll shoot when you get your gun figured out.

A good victory in trying conditions and  tough competition.

It's just that it's going to take him that long to get over the Bomber's loss in the Grey Cup

Well since your wife doesn't care what you spend this opens up everything.

 Chad
As for the front rest, if you can borrow one even a Caldwell , use that for now until you can see what's available out there.  There are quite a few different styles and types and a trip to a match or Rick's BR clinic in the spring will let you see them or try one.

Your shooting style will depend on what works for you. Some people shoot free recoil and don't touch the rifle except for the trigger. Others lightly touch the stock or rest their thumb on it. I can't think of anyone who pulls it into their shoulder ,not with a BR or PPC anyhow.

Bullets  ,  Give Dan Opel a shout he's not that far away from  you in Alberta. He's on this site ...  DanO

And even on windless days the wind is still there, you just can't feel it . So use some kind of wind flag even a pole with some surveyors tape on the top of it. You should try and use more than one too ,at least three out to 100 yds

Thanks guys , a lot of good ideas from the reasonable to pricey.  I like the looks of the Bruno one  , can't seem to find anything about the Crawford one though.

I'm looking for a cartridge block, the kind that mounts on your front rest and puts it up near the rifle.  Can't seem to find anything, I know there out there I've seen them.   Any body have one or know where I can get one

Ok  Here's a winter time question for all.
If you received a gift certificate from Sinclair's for  $100  ,what would you get from them?
  Just curious.

Dan     Right now anything about 66 to 68 grain on a .825 jacket, flat base.  I'd try some boat tails if they were available. Do you make a BT ?

Thanks . Your bullets shoot as good as anybodies. I shot them in Calgary last year in the unlimited and was very  happy with them. I'm sure if more people used them they would see we have a good bullet maker here in Canada.

And Calvin if you would have sprung for the extra bucks ,you would have found that extra .oooo5 on Dan's bullets.

You'd probably be better off going the switch barrel route. Get another barrel 1-14 twist  and chamber it up for your caliber of choice . Then you can keep the 1-12 for coyotes or whatever..
Don't know what you have for a stock either but if it's a factory one that should be changed as well for a more bench friendly stock.
At least your Remington actions are accurized ,so you don't have to change that, unless you're going to go custom action.

Welcome  Brian.    Coyote  hunting is a good place to start and to come from for Benchrest shooting. You've probably already got a lot of reloading equipment already .  What actions are your guns built on ? You may have to rebarrel one to get competitive.
 Keep the questions coming.

Have any of you used Wipe out bore cleaner ? with or without the accelerator.  Or is there something else out there similar to it?

What results did you get from it ?  and is it as clean to use as they say it is ?

Rob    The action was made by Lowell Boyd.  It is 12" long fits through the block .  The barrel is free to vibrate ,sort of a different approach to barrel harmonics.  Lowell made the whole thing except the barrel and trigger .
