Centerfire Discussions / Windflags
« on: July 18, 2010, 11:26:06 PM »
Hey Guys.

Well im gonna try nationals, just for the heck of it. Was wondering if anyone had a few extra widflags for that weekend? Eventhough i sure as sin do not have the right equipment in the gun department, i would still like to learn using windflags, for when i do actually get a competitive rifle. Also, how many shots max per match? Im gonna do lv100 and lv200. Thanks.

Centerfire Discussions / To rebarrel or not??

Now that you people have my wife serious about benchrest, i need help. Her gun is a shilen DGA, and it does not shoot bad, but i just know the 222 would be better than her 223 AI. Seeing it has the 222 boltface, i guess that is about the only option, for more accuracy?

I have read a bit about the Caldwell The rock BR, is it worth it? If not, what would be better, but not TOO expensive. I dont wanna be cheap, but would like to get away as cheap as possible. Thanks.

Centerfire Discussions / Ultra New to Benchrest!!
« on: March 26, 2010, 05:02:23 PM »
Well, like i siad, im new to this, and have a lot of questions. Me and my family recently moved to Canada from South Africa. I was a professional hunter and have been involved with guns my whole life, and want to get involved in BR shooting NOW! I have two guns, and i know it wont be great for the job, but want to use them to get started. I have a 6mm-284 on a 40X Action and my wife shoots a 223AI on a Shilen DGA action. We really want to start shooting as we are both serious about shooting. I currently live in Oyen alberta, and would just love to attend a mach and shoot for the fun to see what its about. Any ideas on matches or just fun shooting.
